Rhonda Pierce from Schmetz Needles came to share her vast knowledge of sewing machine needles – the different needle tips and shapes and sizes, and when to use which.
No more wondering what fibers our fabrics contain. We learned exactly how to tell what they are.
Judy Ramsey of House of Colour came to talk to us about colors. She showed us why wearing the right colors is important and explained how color analysis works.
We got tons of inspiration from upcycler extraordinaire Mary Anne, who showed us her fabulously trimmed out garments and elaborate jewelry.
Carolyn Chen introduced us to Subtraction Cutting, a method of cutting and removing fabric to create unusual shapes that lead to creative and wearable art.
Diane McCauley came to teach us how to make buttons out of polymer clay. Because what’s better than a hand-made garment? One with hand-made buttons to match.
