September 2023 – Jewelry and upcycled clothing trunk show

We had originally planned to hold a fabric rummage sale this month, but then life happened, and we went with a different plan – a trunk show of jewelry and upcycled garments with Mary Anne and her helper Donna. Not a bad swap, right?

Mary Anne has a keen eye for picking up second hand garments and finding just the right trims and details to turn each item into an artistic garment. Her jewelry is a combination of skill and whimsy. See for yourself.

And, of course, garments. Fabulous garments. Because that’s what it’s all about. Like this gorgeous yellow plaid shirt and light blue jeans embellished with lace and applique.

Or these two denim jackets with a generous amount of trim and other embellishments.

Show & tell

After all that upcycled eye candy, it was time to share our latest creations, so everyone could ooh and aah over them in appreciation and encouragement.

We got to see everything from shirts and jackets to aprons, bags, baskets, quilts, and even a teepee.
