October 2023 – National convention review
Our chapter’s president Tamra went to the ASG national conference in NYC this summer. Now it was time for her to tell us all about it. (Yes, we were jelly. Some of us even decided not be left out of all the fun next year.)
Tamra gave us a synopsis of all the classes she attended, shared fun and useful tips she learned, and showed us the fabrics she bought. Because you can’t go to NYC and not buy fabric, obviously.
And then it was time for show and tell.
We got to see garments galore, from pajama pants to Western shirt, winter jacket, girl’s dress, a whole handmade outfit (go Deb!), and even a fabulous sweater coat Tamra made from her husband’s old wool sweaters. Plus wall hangings, table runners, pillow cases, and more.
